How many times have you purchased a product after reading the press releases and seen commercials extolling the wonders of the new and improved model only to be disappointed, wishing you had stayed with the older, reliable version? If you are like me, the answer would be, “Many times!” Let me encourage you and say the latest “NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition” will not disappoint!
I’ve been reading bibles since my first King James reference Bible was given to me in 1965. As years passed and different translations became available, I found the NIV to be one of the foundational translations which always proved accurate and readable. And now, I can say the “NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition” will prove to be one of the most comprehensive, accurate and understandable study bibles available today.
In addition to thorough study notes at the bottom of most pages, this Study Bible also presents center column references verses to guide the reader to connecting verses in the OT as well as the NT.
Each book has full descriptions which give the reader a sense of cultural and historical placement and understanding. If you don’t have time to fully absorb those details, simply look for the “A Quick Look” box to quickly grasp the Author, Audience, Date written, and Theme.”
Scattered throughout this comprehensive Bible, you will find colored maps, timelines, articles and a concordance containing more than 4,700 words and nearly 36,000 Scripture references.
One more thing, Zondervan did not sacrifice readability for content. The primary Bible font is easily readable as well as the thousands of notes.
