GATHER25

Join believers from all denominations for an unprecedented 25-hour gathering, uniting across every time zone in continuous worship and fellowship at Gather25.

Gather25 is a trailblazing global gathering of Christians founded by Jennie Allen. This year, a multi-denominational, international line up of Christian teachers, storytellers and prayer guides from six continents will showcase powerful stories of how God is transforming communities and hearts around the world.

The event, with a schedule that will circumnavigate the globe over 25 hours, celebrates a line-up of individuals who bring a unique perspective of how God is moving in their context. Together, they are partnering with Gather25’s mission to mobilise the world’s 2.5 billion Christians to reach the 5.5 billion people on earth who have yet to encounter Jesus.

Through live-streaming technology and AI, Gather25 will connect with Christians in homes, in churches, in stadiums, or on their phones, across six continents, with each continent hosting a portion of the 25 hours.

The event will kick off in the United States at 01:00 UTC on Saturday, March 1, 2025, and will journey around the globe, concluding in Peru at 02:00 UTC on Sunday, March 2, 2025. This continuous broadcast is designed to empower Christians worldwide through inspiring stories and testimonies of God’s work across nations. Each session will be hosted from a different country, featuring teaching, worship, stories and prayers from various locations within each session. The event will also unveil never-before-heard accounts from the underground church. 

The teachers, storytellers, and prayer guides include:

About Christmas Kettling

Christmas Kettling by The Salvation Army is a cherished holiday tradition that began back in 1891 in the USA – 133 years ago, where volunteers stand by donation kettles and ring bells to spread the festive cheer whilst encouraging passers-by to give generously.

YOUTH FOR CHANGE CONFERENCE 2024: THE UNEQUAL PLATE

The world produces enough food to feed 1.5 times the global population. So why are people still hungry?

Come for YFCC 2024 and explore the causes and consequences of global hunger in an age of abundance. Learn how to start your own cause-driven projects, contribute to a food sustainable world, and embark on virtual visits to World Vision’s innovative development projects in Timor Leste and discover how we transform the lives of children and families in the most vulnerable of places.

Let the stories shared by our guest speaker, humanitarian field staff, and youth changemakers inspire you to work towards a hunger-free world.

This year’s edition, which will be held as a fully in-person, is a day-long event which aims to educate young people about innovative humanitarian development responses to the global hunger crisis with reference to examples from World Vision’s interventions and success stories.   

There will also be a number of workshops centred around social good and sustainability. Participants will be able to choose the workshop they are most interested in to allow for a more customised learning experience.

Speakers

The speakers include World Vision colleagues based in Kenya, Timor Leste and Vietnam, who have kindly offered their time to share their experiences of working on the ground to implement innovative and sustainable livelihood and community development projects for the well-being of vulnerable children and their families. 

There will also be hosting a human library where youths from World Vision offices across the region, as well as local ground-up initiatives, will presents their projects at the conference, allowing our participants the opportunity to interact and network with a like-minded cause-driven youth community.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the YMCA building, YMCA@One Orchard Road, this November, YMCA launched the “Find Your Y” movement. 

“Find Your Y” challenges participants to explore and fulfil their roles in society regardless of their abilities and background, through fundraising and advocacy. The initiative will conclude with a vibrant carnival at YMCA, graced by our Patron-in-Chief, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

It will be a family-friendly and fun-filled day of activities, games like archery and basketball, superheroes and mermaids, and delicious food and drink from charitable food vendors – many of whom are fellow believers. 

Nicholas Fheng of nbrhoodsg who was recently featured on Salt&Light is an alumni of YMCA’s Uni-Y programme, will be at the carnival offering haircuts to people.

FIND YOUR Y: TOWER CHALLENGE

Be part of the YMCA’s nine-storey staircase over the course of 180 hours to set a new Singapore Book of Record for the longest duration for stair-climbing (distributed across participants).

The Tower Challenge aims to raise funds for Youths-at-Risk and Youths with Special Needs, and is an act of solidarity with the Youth with Special Needs who are taking on their Inclusive Challenge (100km).

Climbers, volunteers and donors can sign up for a time slot to climb, donate, start your own fundraising campaign and volunteer as an usher or record keeper.
